Is There Love after Breast Cancer? You Better Believe it! - blog*spot

Thank you to all who have asked about my plans. Things are going ahead full force now.
I booked my flight yesterday. I leave on the 4th of September, arrive on the 5th.. To me it all seems so sureal. If you ever
read through my many posts I was so opposed to men and marriage especially!! Looking back on my very negative views on both, I think it was having experienced the loss of friends both men and women who for whatever reason could not? be supportive..? Losing your Breasts seems like a frivilous reason to end friendships but it is much deeper. The Cancer equation rears it's ugliness. People still fear this disease more so when they are closely accquainted with someone who has it. You may as walk around with a "Big C"? stuck in the middle of your forehead.

I lived in Africa for a number of years. My son is African/Canadian.He was born there.Congo..? Men are a little behind the times when it comes to attitudes regarding women. Now I'm not saying all because there? are some very progressive ones too.? The older ones still stuck in that I am? the man role...Having Breast Cancer more or less? puts an end to things. So when I found out an Ex was looking for me, knowing full well I had gone through a double mastectomy, treatment all the crappy times that go hand in hand I was stunned when? he said none of that made a difference. Why would anyone leave you because a part of your body? was making you sick? I knew at that moment... I can't remember exactly why we ended our relationship many years ago. At this point it no longer matters except I'm sure glad he came back! Plus he never married... or had I. Everyone says this is the way it was meant to be.?
This sounds like? a mushy love story......

He's very quiet soft spoken, he listens to me when I talk, complain, cry or am in a mood..Sings to me if I am feeling a little down.. Laughs at my French. His English has greatly improved. In fact we can now carry an entire conversation? without resorting to a translator or dictionary - he has picked up English , I think a lot of my difficulty is retaining info?? with Chemo Brain...

So plans.... Quiet .. a few friends. We have to do the civil ceremony at City Hall?? Head? to one of the favorite? places have a few drinks some food party to insane hours of the morning..Certainly won't be a cast of thousands like he originally wanted. A few of his musician friends will be there, how many can't be sure, some of his immediate family..well this just? might end up being bigger..or as the bar holds..

?Just a nice intimate lovely wedding in Paris..no muss, no fuss well some fuss of course. There sure is such a thing as Love After Breast Cancer..I am testimony to that. I was so scared but when you find that one that just accepts all the bumps scars,? and it still doesn't matter...go for it !!

We will leave by train the following day for Geneva, Switzerland for a few days. He will be recording while there later do sight seeing. We both have friends ? who live there..

Yes we will do photos, I will post pics....It's not everyday a girl gets married in Paris...
