Presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney released a new ad on Friday aimed at attacking an earlier missive by super PAC Priorities USA Action. The super PAC's ad had implied that Romney was responsible for a Kansas City woman's death from cancer, by attempting to draw a link between Romney's closure of a plant while head of Bain Capital, which resulted in the loss of the family's health insurance, and the woman's death.

President Barack Obama's campaign, which CBS News reported cleared the super PAC for "his top donors earlier this year," has drawn heavy criticism for its perceived support of the ad's message. Romney's new ad, which was released directly by the campaign itself, echoes that criticism, asking viewers to consider what it says "about a president's character when his campaign tries to use the tragedy of a woman's death for political gain."

* Obama's campaign has denied any wrongdoing connected to the ad produced by Priorities USA Action.
